Decameron Gallery Catalogue

How to use the site

The purpose of this site is to provide public-facing documentation of Decameron 2.0 and Memory Eternal, two collaborative works by the Decameron Collective. Please browse or search the collections to learn more about these artworks or to find more precise details on specific artworks held within these collaborative works.

The catalogue’s primary organization by “Collections” follows the spatial and hierarchical logic of the Decameron 2.0 and Memory Eternal virtual worlds. Collections in this catalogue mimic the distinct parts of these worlds, with each world and, where applicable, the rooms within them forming a separate collection. Decameron 2.0 contains multiple sub-collections, whereas Memory Eternal is one collection containing multiple items. Learn more about how the collections relate to each other.

It is also possible to browse by “Artworks,” which centers the many artworks that are included in the virtual worlds. For these two modes of accessing the artworks, see the menu bar at the top of each page.

An even more nuanced search is possible, either by choosing the “Search Items” option under the “Browse Artworks” menu option, or by the “Browse by Tag” option. Tags are comprised of names of creators of a specific artwork as well as the genre of the particular resource.
